Starburst
To add a Starburst data source to Latitude, you need the credentials to access your account, the host address of your cluster, and the name of the catalog you want to add. Here's how to do it:
Configuration
Get the connection details from your Starburst account:
- Host → The host address where your cluster is hosted in Starburst.
- Catalog → The name of the catalog you want to add.
- User → The user you use to access Starburst.
To get these details, you can log in to your Starburst Galaxy app panel and click on the Clusters tab on the left side of the screen.
Here you will see a list of all your available clusters. Click on the "Connection info" button on the right side of the cluster you want to add to see the connection details.
On the popup screen, scroll down to "Other clients", and you'll see the Host of your cluster and the User you will use to access it through Latitude.
Finally, you need to get the Catalog you want to add. To do so, click on the Catalogs tab on the left side of the screen. Here you will see a list of all your available catalogs.
Copy the name of the catalog you want to add off the list.
Fill in all the required fields
- Name → The name you'll see for this source in Latitude. This doesn’t affect anything in your database.
- Host → The host address where your cluster is hosted in Starburst. You can get it from the previous step.
- Catalog → The name of the catalog you want to add. You can get it from the previous step.
- Username → The user address you will use to access your cluster from Latitude. You can get it from the previous step.
- Password → The password that you use to log in into your Starburst account.
Save the configuration
Now, it's time to check that everything was set up correctly. Go to a project, add your Starburst data source and check that you get results.
If your data source has a firewall, you can whitelist our static IPs: 18.193.205.15 and 18.157.122.144
